I loved making these Zip It: Clam Shell Pouches by Sewn Wyoming. You can get the pattern for the pouch here. I chose to use some old jeans for two of them and some scrap fabric that I made into whole cloth. I gave them as gifts to some family members who needed some travel pouches and makeup bags. It was fairly easy to follow the instructions in the pattern. I also bound the inside seams with the lining fabric with 2″ binding. I made one big mistake when doing this is that I forgot to quilt the fabric before I cut out the pattern and sew on the pocket. It would have made things a lot easier and cleaner. Quilting around the pocket really was annoying.  I loved the look of the chunky zipper for this pouch too. I got it here on Amazon. Join me in the video below and learn how to make this great little pouch. It is so versatile and can be used for so many things. I am thinking about making it out of clear vinyl and PUL fabric so it will be easier to wipe out.
